TSU OFFERS KAUFFMAN FOUNDATION MINI-SOCIETY
TRAINING
Tennessee State University is pleased to announce that a certified
trainer from the Kauffman Foundation will be in Nashville to conduct
a Mini-Society training May 26-28, 2004.
Mini-Society is an experience-based instructional system targeted
primarily for teaching entrepreneurship, economics, and citizenship
concepts to students ages 8 to 12. In the Mini-Society, students
develop a self-organizing economic society with the consultative
guidance of the teacher (agent), driven by the need to resolve a
situation involving the fundamental economic issues of scarcity
and allocation of resources. The children begin to identify opportunities
in their environment and initiate entrepreneurship ventures to provide
goods and services to their fellow citizen.
Join us May 26-28 in Nashville for this awesome training. Spaces
are limited and will fill up quickly so RSVP via email today to
jsamuel1@.tnstate.edu.
The last day to RSVP is Thursday May 6 by 2:00 p.m. CDT or when
all slots have been filled whichever comes first.
For more information give me a call at 615-963-7885 or visit www.minisociety.org.
