4-H'ers in Blount County received a 4-H S.O.S. mini-grant to fund a service learning project at Career Camp. The youth attending the camp watched a video and learned about bluebirds, including their history in North America and why they are struggling to survive now. Then they learned how to construct a blue bird box. The campers, with the help of Honor Club members, completed 120 boxes. The 4-H'ers took the boxes home to install. Community members and 4-H'ers alike are enjoying seeing blue birds in the area.
