| The
Sevier County 4-H Tech Team designed a website for United Way of
Sevier County. They wanted to provide an internet resource so the
community could access agencies listed in the United Way Community
Services Guide. Before beginning work on the site, the 4-H'ers visited
a graphic design company and several United Way agencies. Then the
youth worked on different parts of the site, which they merged together
to make the whole.
The
4-H'ers learned many things from their service, including creating
a web page, formatting a computer, digital photography (cropping,
printing, saving, etc.), using a scanner, identifying the parts
of a computer. They also learned about the United Way and got
to see first-hand some of the services provided by the organization.
