Here
are a few ways that you could help your community and reinforce
your 4-H project work, too!
- teach
summer crafts workshops at a nursing home
- run
a kids' crafts booth at the fair, either as free entertainment
or to raise money for a good cause
- make
holiday decorations for a homeless shelter or for people
in the hospital
- help
Head Start students make Father's Day cards
- make
Christmas frames, bookmarks, or other items for nursing
home residents
- collect
crayons and other supplies for hospitals, day cares, etc.
- make
holiday crafts with special needs children
- create
posters to promote 4-H
Let us know of your great ideas for ways to use arts and crafts
for service learning!
