Here are a few ways to use your consumer skills to help others.

  • assist with Reality Check, Welcome to the Real World, On My Own, or another financial management simulation at a school, alternative school, after-school program, or community center
  • teach Kindergarteners how to count money
  • assist elderly neighbors with writing checks or paying bills
  • teach other kids to "shop smart"
  • teach money management to low-income families
  • work with low income families to help them develop a budget
  • teach kids about credit management
  • teach kids about checking accounts
  • help a local organization plan and conduct a fundraiser
