Nearly everyone loves a dog. Try to find ways to use your love for dogs to help others. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

• walk dogs for your physically challenged neighbors
• promote the annual rabies clinic
• sponsor a day of free dog grooming
• offer to dog-sit for neighbors going on vacation
• take dogs to visit with patients at the nursing home
• help out at the humane society
• assist with the dog show at the county fair
• sponsor a dog food collection for the local animal shelter
• host a community dog dip (see if a local supply store will donate the chemicals!)
• help clean and/or paint the local dog shelter
