Mark out a 100-meter distance and try doing this sprint 10 times daily, tracking your time. See what your fastest times are by the end of the week. Did you get faster? How close are you to the Olympic records (9.58 for men and 10.49 for women)?

Challenge: Try a New Sport
This week we challenge you to get outside and try something new. At the 2021 summer Olympics, there will be 339 events representing thirty -three sports. How many sports have you tried? Grab your family or a friend–you might be surprised at what you discover. It doesn’t have to be an Olympic sport-how about disc golf, plogging, or gaga ball?

TENNESSEE 4-H’ERS WIN NATIONAL 4-H VIRTUAL COOKING CHALLENGE!

Penn State Extension is hosting the 2021 National 4-H Cooking Challenge on May 15 and 22, 2021. The challenge is for the individual or sibling group to apply their creativity, knowledge of nutrition, food preparation, food safety, and leadership skills to prepare a recipe using a secret ingredient and ingredients in their food pantry, and then make a presentation about the prepared dish to a panel of judges.

Practicing gratitude is an important piece of mindfulness. Gratitude helps us tap into positive emotions and experiences, improves our health, helps us
overcome adversity, and builds strong relationships. This week we challenge you to write down three things every day that you are grateful for. At the end of the week, review your list and consider sharing it with a friend or family member. How did it make you feel to be grateful every day?
