State 4-H Electric Camp

The Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association and its statewide members; the University of Tennessee Extension; municipal power systems from across the state; and TVA

PURPOSE

  1. To offer opportunities for career exploration in energy, electricity and basic sciences.
  2. To provide young people with an academic and fun environment for meaningful learning.
  3. To provide opportunities to meet other 4-H members from across the state.
  4. To experience the joy of learning through hands-on activities.

ATTENDANCE

  1. 4-H members who were in the 6th or 7th school grades on January 1 of the current year are eligible to attend State 4-H Electric Camp, that is held on the campus of The University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
  2. It is desirable for participants to be enrolled in the 4-H electric project, but it is not a requirement.
  3. A member may repeat their participation in State 4-H Electric Camp.
  4. Each county Extension office will have the details about travel, costs, etc.
  5. Each region may send two volunteer leaders to the camp.
