Participants in the program are challenged with real-life experiences as they learn responsibility and develop essential skills in animal care, breeding, and management. Youth gain hands-on experience by raising, showing, and judging sheep, preparing them for success in local, regional, and state-level events. Whether you’re interested in meat or wool production, the 4-H Sheep Program provides a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.

Shows and Events

From county fairs to regional and state-level events, 4-H members have numerous opportunities to showcase their sheep projects throughout the year. Showing sheep is a great way to highlight the hard work and dedication you’ve put into your project, while gaining valuable experience in animal care and presentation.
