Horse Project

The 4-H Horse Program is an exciting opportunity for youth to develop valuable horsemanship skills while exploring the world of animals. Through hands-on activities like horse judging, horse bowls, hippology, and speech and demonstration contests, participants will build confidence, teamwork, and leadership. Best of all, you don’t need to own a horse to get involved—everyone is welcome to join and learn! This program is a great way for both youth and parents to engage in a supportive and educational experience together.]

Shows and Events

From county fairs to regional and state-level events, 4-H members have numerous opportunities to showcase their horse projects throughout the year. Competing in horse shows is not only exciting—it’s a chance to demonstrate the skills, hard work, and dedication you’ve invested in your project. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, these events provide a great way to celebrate your progress and connect with other horse enthusiasts.
