The 70th Annual Tennessee 4-H Congress will begin this Sunday at the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville. The schedule has been slightly altered this year but still contains all of the great educational experiences and competitions. We will begin this year with our Public Speaking, Leadership, and Citizenship competitions. These winners will be announced at our opening session that evening. We will also hear from our Performing Arts Troupe during the banquet.
Monday will be the time for our members to travel to the capital and participate in debating bills and practicing state government. They will also participate in several educational workshops related to leadership. Finally, they will visit with their local legislators and have dinner in down-town Nashville.
Tuesday will be the election of officers, Tennessee History Bowl contest and a history lesson on the General Jackson. That evening we will celebrate citizenship with our banquet and the installation of our new Congress officers. Finally, we will conclude the 70th Congress with an evening Gala.
Many thanks to all of our donors who make this outstanding event a life-long memory for our members. You are truly helping to “Make the Best Better”.
