Many people associate this time of year with spending time with family, reflecting on the past year, and making plans for the upcoming year. It is also well known as the season of giving. Tennessee 4-H members are known to have a heart dedicated to serving others. Recently, our UTK Collegiate 4-H/ FFA club raised funds to decorate nine trees for hospitalized children to enjoy at the East TN Children’s Hospital. Additionally, those same club members joined with other friends on the UTIA cam- pus to pack 1,350 boxes for Operation Christmas Child. While service is ingrained in the hearts and minds of our 4-H members, let’s remember to do what we can to help others this holiday season.
