WALMART GRANT IN SCOTT COUNTY

Scott County 4-H partnered with Fightanium Fitness and Bear Creek Sports Complex to hold a 5K event to promote healthy lifestyles in November. The event was held on Thanksgiving Day to demonstrate how exercise helps burn off extra calories consumed during big holiday meals. Over 40 people participated, with everyone receiving a special commemorative t-shirt and a medal. The Kid’s Dash was a huge hit! One 9 year old boy ran the Kid’s Dash and then completed the 5K. Race participants included residents of Scott County as well as visitors.

4-H’ers are currently planning a Color Run for May!
