New Opportunities Ahead for Tennessee 4-H

Justin Crowe, Director and State 4-H Program Leader

This past week was a busy one with various meetings and events happening across the state, but three opportunities that will be fruitful for the 4-H program.

The first was a visit to the University of Tennessee Southern where we had a chance to meet with Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Judy Cheatham, and Interim Chancellor Dr. Linda Martin, to discuss new opportunities to collaborate with UT Southern and Tennessee 4-H.

The next stop took me to Tiffany Carpenter, vice president of Marketing and Communications for the UT System, and Lisa Stearns, associate vice chancellor for Marketing and Communications for the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture; as we made plans to enhance some of our current 4-H programs offered across the state.

And then finally a trip to UT Chattanooga, where Ryan Hensley and I had a chance to meet with Associate Vice Chancellor Dr. Shewanee Howard-Baptiste, and other UT Chattanooga leadership about new opportunities and potential collaboration between UT Chattanooga and Tennessee 4-H.
These visits are so important, these collaborations are valuable and I look forward to sharing more details with you.
