This week the state and regional 4-H staff met in Murfreesboro for a leadership retreat. This retreat is focused on identifying the individual and teams strengths and abilities to work together to build efficiency and effectiveness within the team. Maria Walker, Southeast District 4-H Youth Development Coordinator from University of Nebraska 4-H, is a certified Gallups Strengths trainer. The meeting’s core focus was preparing for the upcoming 4-H Program Review estimated to be completed in the spring of 2019. 4-H participants identified their strengths through several fun hands-on activities. At the conclusion of the meeting, the team learned to appreciate each others skills and talents, blended them together to make a stronger Tennessee 4-H program.
