Unicoi County Wins TNGIC Map Award

Congratulations to Unicoi County 4-H GPS Team for winning First Place – 4-H Map Award at the Tennessee Geographic Information Council (TNGIC) 2019 Annual Meeting.

Creators of the map “Unicoi County Emergency Response Times” are Amanda Huggins, Christiana Gilbert, Elisabeth Casey and Ben Merrit, led by Extension Agent Rachel York.

Amanda, Ben and Elisabeth will travel to San Diego in July to represent Tennessee on the 2019-2020 National 4-H GIS/GPS Leadership Team and present an updated version of their map in the Esri Users Conference Map Gallery, attended by about 20,000 GIS professionals.
