The next two weeks are extremely important for Tennessee 4-H and the overall Extension organization. Dr. Jim Thompson, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Search Committee Chair, has announced the four finalists for the UTIA Extension Dean position. The finalists will visit both Knoxville and Jackson for meetings with faculty, staff, students, alum- ni, and community members. I urge you to take an active role in the process and make your voice known in the selection process. Below are the dates for the interviews:
Dr. Latif Lighari, Ph.D. Current Position: Associate Dean for Extension, College of Agriculture, Human and Natural Sciences, Tennessee State University. Interview Dates: June 21 – 23, 2017 (6/21-22 Knoxville, 6/23 Jackson)
Dr. Robert T. Burns, Ph.D., P.E. Current Position: Associate Dean for Extension, University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. Inter- view Dates: June 26 – 28, 2017. (6/26-27 Knoxville, 6/28 Jackson)
Dr. Delton C. Gerloff, Ph.D. Current Position: Interim Extension Dean, University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. Interview Dates: June 28 – 30, 2017 (6/28-29 Knoxville, 6/30 Jackson)
Dr. Edward Frederick Schlutt, Jr., Ph.D. Current Position: Vice Provost for Extension and Outreach, Director of Alaska Cooperative Ex- tension Services, University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Interview
