The 2019 4-H Electric Camp is scheduled for June 25 -28, 2019. The camp is for 6th and 7th grade 4-H members as of January 1, 2019. Seventh graders may return if they previously participated. Members do not have to be enrolled in the electric project to attend the camp.

Electric Camp is a fun-filled, rewarding adventure in electricity held at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The camp will feature learning centers staffed by electric utility professionals. Each learning center will use hands-on activities that allow the 4-H members to learn by doing. Previous electric camps have received rave reviews from the 4-H members, leaders and Extension staff that have at- tended.

The cost for the 2019 4-H Electric Camp will be $290. This fee includes the cost of meals, lodging, field trips, programs, etc. Transportation fees are covered by members of the Tennessee Electric Co- operative Association.

Each region is eligible to send adult volunteer leaders to the camp. At least 12 camp assistants will also be selected to attend Electric Camp in a leadership capacity. Camp assistants must be senior 4-H members.

Mobile phones are not to be brought to the event. If found, Extension Agents will tell the youth to put the phone out of sight. A 2nd offense will result in the youth being sent home. This is for the safety and security of the youth, and everyone at the event. All phone communication between parent and child should be done through an Extension Agent or Camp Staff.

Counties will receive registration material from your regional office. Additional information is available on the website at 4-H Electric Camp website.
