The 2021 Great American Seafood Cook-off

Two teams of 4-H members will represent Tennessee 4-H at the 2021 Great American Seafood Cook-off in Louisiana in August. The Cook-Off will bring together 4-H teams consisting of 2-4 members to show off their cooking skills.

The recipe must include USA domestic seafood, and it has to be prepared for five identical plated serving of their entrée. Teams have 60 minutes to prepare the dish and must provide a five minute maximum oral presentation. Recipes prepared are only allowed to be 750 calories or less per serving.

The Tipton County team members include Deja Allen, Javante Green, Orion Davis, and Jaylaine Young who will be accompanied by Brigitte Passman, UT Extension Tipton County agent and county director and Felicia Mason, UT Extension Tipton County volunteer.

The Blount County team members include Meredith Hoffman and Haysen Hayes who will be accompanied by Mark Hoffman, UT Extension Blount County volunteer.
