Taking time to care for your heart can be challenging as you go about daily life. But it’s easier than you
think to show your heart the love it deserves each day. Small acts of self-care, like taking walks, getting
quality sleep, and cooking healthy meals, help your heart. Research shows that self-care can help you
keep your blood pressure in a healthy range and reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke.

This Friday, February 5 is Wear Red Day for February Heart Health Month. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and many groups around the country observe National Wear Red Day each year to raise awareness about heart disease as a leading cause of death among Americans, especially women.

Get moving with Board Games this week. Download our new BOKS “Are You Game?” booklet andget moving with board games. Pick out your favorites or make up your own but make sure you integrate movement into any game you try. The challenge: pick a different game for every day of the week and get moving.
