Justin Crowe, 4-H Director and State Program Leader

Last week our state 4-H team had the pleasure of being at UT Martin along with 4-H members, volunteers, and county and regional staff to participate in the ninety-ninth annual Tennessee 4-H Roundup and All-Star Conference. What an absolute success it was! Over 350 delegates, volunteers, and staff came together to participate in workshops, hear from guest speakers, as well as compete in project competition. We had several special guests throughout the week including out-of-state delegates from Arkansas, Kentucky, and Virginia as well as an appearance by UT Martin Chancellor, Keith Carver, and our UTIA Senior Vice Chancellor and Senior Vice President, Carrie Castille. So many people put their heart into this 4-H Roundup to make sure it was a real success and I appreciate each one of those individuals. From agents, program assistants, and administrative assistants on the county level who helped young people prepare their portfolios and get registered for the event, to parents who helped make sure that their children had opportunities to all the individuals who supported the actual event logistics, we couldn’t do this without you.

We are very excited about the 100th State 4-H Roundup and All-Star Conference scheduled for July 2023 on the UT Knoxville campus and have some special things in store for that. Again what a great week for Tennessee 4-H and we are looking forward to seeing what these 4-H members do in the future.
