Tennessee had the largest delegation recently at the 2021 National 4-H Volunteer Conference at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton, GA, September 30–October 3, 2021. Tennessee 4-H volunteers, Matthew Hibdon and Dee Wolters, served in a leadership capacity on the Conference Planning Committee. Participants learned about the newest 4-H curricula, examined new 4-H ideas through exhibits and workshops, and had some wonderful networking opportunities with volunteers from all over the nation. In addition, some of the traditional fun favorites were enjoyed by all – like the “heads or tails” auction, Rock Eagle BINGO, and toasted marshmallows by the campfire. This was a hybrid event, which means that many of the workshops were also accessible virtually, and will be so afterwards as well on the conference website. Mark your calendar for the next National 4-H Volunteer Conference at Rock Eagle 4-H Center, Georgia, October 6 – 9, 2022. J |
